Question: Does a cabinet always have permeable floors with ventilation slots that allow for an air draw through the cigars?

Answer: Air permeability is often propagated. Other humidors use a chimney effect. So do we too. The problem with air-permeable floors is that the air-permeability does not work anymore when the cabinet is filled. The ventilation slots are blocked with cigars then. In addition, too much air tends not to have a positive onto cigars. It's about keeping the oil in the cigar. Therefore, it is preferable to store cigars in boxes in which the cigars are in cellophane. You can put these boxes on permeable floors with ventilation slots. The benefits are limited. More meaningful is a certain air circulation and respiration possibility for the humidor. That is given here.
