Rolling your own cigarettes with a cigarette rolling machine is easy, if you know how. How to use rolling amchines is a regular topic of questions. In the following you find the rolling process depicted and demonstrated in a video.
1.) Open the box. Fill the space between Rolling-Band and frame with finecut tobacco.
2.) Apply moisture to the rubber seal of the cigarette paper. Then place it behind the tobacco.
3.) Close the box.
4.) Take the cigarette, which is ready to be smoked now.
Depending on the used finecut tobacco and the cigarette papers, some practice and routine may be needed.
Regarding Filters: Please use filters of regular size. Slim Formats may be to thin depending on the filter product.
With a simple hand movement you can select the desired cigarette size. Please remove the rolling strap and insert the bar into the corresponding hole. You can select between 6 mm and 8 mm. In the same way you can completely replace and exchange the strap. Replacement straps are offered as spare parts in our shop.
Question: The machine rolls like intended. But my cigarettes are too tight / too soft. What can I do?
Answer: Basically there are 3 possible reasons, all inherent with the tobacco:
1.) Tobacco freshly and directly from the pouch is often very wet depending on the brand and product. It's a problem, which is applicable to many pipe tobaccos. You cannot smoke many of the pipe tobaccos without problems without letting dry them out first. Please let the cigarette toibacco dry out a bit, of you think that it's too wet.
2.) If the cigarettes are rolled too tight, there's possibly too much tobacco used. The solution is of course that you take less tobacco. Accordingly, if your cigarettes are too soft, please change the portion size also. It may take some time to develop an exact feeling for the process.
3.) Tobacco from the pouch usually arrives compressed. Please loose it up a bit before inserting it into the rolling machine. The tobacco portion, which you insert, should have a nice fluffy consistency. Just like in the video. Please see www.german.us/rolling
Question: Which Filters are recommended?
Filter
The choice and compatibility with rolling filters is always a question that comes with the topic of rolling machines for cigarettes. Of course we have dealt with that question and tested our products on it. There are countless different filter sizes and makes. There are always certain differences between the individual products. The filter should be slightly physically compressed when rolled in the cigarette. The filter should therefore always be slightly thicker than the cigarette format. Ideal are very simple regular standard filters in size "Regular", which are compatible to a maximum.
8 mm cigarettes: standard regular filters
6 mm cigarettes: 8 mm filters, which are compressed accordingly. (very handy.) Or 7mm Filters, which are very popular.
Of course, you can also use various narrower filters up to 6 mm. If the filter is as wide as the cigarette, it is obvious from our point of view that it can not be compressed. Good working are also some 7mm filter sizes that become more and more common nowadays. Most 6mm filters are still fitting. If you want to fix the filter easily, I recommend the following: Please place a few fibers of tobacco under or over the filter. The filter will be easily fixed with it. If that is not enough, I ask you to use a wider filter. Generally no special filters are necessary. Personally, I would just shoot everything with a simple filter of standard size.
