  GERMANUS Crystals are our Classic product in our line of humidifying solutions for humidors.

  The GERMANUS Humidor Crystal Granules offer a high osmotic power like depicted in pur video Video .
  

  We offer filled humidifier boxes, which only need to be charged and used according to the given isntructions. We also offer replacement crystals as spare part, which can be used to equip humidifier boxes with.

  Charging the GERMANUS Crystal Cigar Humidifier

  “Charging” the Humidifier Please soak the humidifier box in distilled water for circa 15 minutes or inject distilled water through the grille. Please make sure that you don’t expose the humidifier longer than 15 minutes to the soaking process in distilled water. The medium inside the box could lift the lid or press through the grille.

  Superfluous water can drain off by reversing the Humidifier Box. Please do that carefully. Please note that the crystals could release water under pressure resp. move into a gel like substance. Thus, please avoid unnecessary pressure onto the soaked crystals. You will not have to refuel them with water until the crystals shrinked (lost size). Depending on the humidor and the cigars you must refuel them ca. 1-2 times a month, the actual interval depends on the required humidity. (The required humidity depends on the quantity of cigars, how many new cigars are stored, in which condition those cigars arrive and how large your humidor is etc..) The whole procedure is uncomplicated and much safer than 18 conventional humidifier-systems.

  The best place for the Humidifier Box depends on the size and design of the Humidor. For Humidors for up to ca. 100 cigars with just one large internal room, please only make sure that there's a gap between your cigars and the Humidifier and the wood. The humidity disperses through the Humidifier’s grille resp. openings. If you place cigars or wood directly in front of the grille resp. openings, they will receive the "whole dose" of dispersed humidity. Thus, please have an eye on your Humidor especially in the first time and control the correct functionality of the crystal Humidifier. If you like to fix the Humidifier Box to the humidor’s wall, please do that, but you needn't do it! If the design of your Humidor is complex with different layers or drawers, please make sure that the humidifier box(es) are placed equally.   Question: My Humidifier Box includes fewer crystals than expected. Is this normal?
  Answer: The included amount of crystals is sufficiently measured. Each granule absorbs such a quantity of water that more crystals would only lead to problems: The osmotic power of the Crystals is so strong that it can even lift off the lid of your Humidifier Box. Please make sure that you fill in only as much water as the capacity of your box can hold. Please follow the instructions given above and do not expose the box for more than 15 minutes to a bowl of distilled water.   Question: Do I need to order the GERMANUS German Humidor Acrylpolymer Humidifier Crystals Acrylic Polymer separately or the crystals are included with the humidor?
  Answer: If you buy a humidor or GERMANUS humidifer with crystals, the crystals are of course included in the scope of delivery rep. inserted into the device..

  Question: If the crystals get dry can the crystals be reused?
  Answer: Of course. Please just soak them again. You just need to let distilled water drain trough the grille. The process works for years.
  
  

  Question:  How often do the crystals have to be soaked in the distilled water? How many times can the crystals be reused? How long time the crystals can be used?
  Answer: When the crystals lost size, please provide them with a new load of distilled water. Basically, the process can be repeated infinite times. For hygienic reasons we recommend replacing the crystals from time to time. The replacement crystals are affordable and can be easily purchased from us.

  GERMANUS Humidifier Pads for Cigar Humidors is our own exclusive product.

  It’s an improvement of the GERMANUS Crystals.

  The GERMANUS Pads are a sturdy pads that combines the absorption capacities of GERMANUS crystals with an improved controlled dispensing. With that solution, hardly more than 70% are possible. (Background: Achieving 100% inside a humidor is easy. Limiting the moisture level is crucial.)

  GERMANUS Befeuchter Wolle

  GERMANUS Wool are crystals that were woven to a Fleece. The dispensing of mositure is most controlled. Fastest Absorption, when soaked. Very sturdy. Easy to use. Simply an uncomplicated product. GERMANUS Wool is offered on the same level as GERMANUS Pads. GERMANUS Wool is an exklusive and proctected product.

  GERMANUS Beads

  GERMANUS Beads is a 2-way humidifying system, Made in Germany, which can absorb and release moisture. As a regulator it can be combined with existing humidifiers. We also offer this as a set consisting of “Regulator” and “Tank”.
  
  As simple to use as it can be.

  Regulator
  Please dip ca. 25% of the regulator into distilled water. Please let super fluent water drain off and wipe the box dry. (The pearls may convey a crackling sound.) Place the regulator in the humidor. It’s done.

  Existing humidifiers can usually kept installed. In that case, I recommend checkups with an exact hygrometer, tactile inspection of the cigars etc..

  Tank
  Please soak the humidifier box in distilled water for circa 15 minutes or inject distilled water through the grille. Please make sure that you don’t expose the humidifier longer than 15 minutes to the soaking process in distilled water.

  The best place for the Humidifier Box depends on the size and design of the Humidor. Please leave some space between tank and cigars. Please don’t place both parts of the system, Regulator and tank resp. existing humidifiers, right next to each other, if there are alternatives. The reason is quite simple. The regulator “regulates” the humidity, which is dispensed by the tank. Placed next to each other, the regulator could receive to much moisture and wouldn’t work perfectly. The results would tend to be suboptimal. The perfect arrangement is a symmetrical order, if you have a hygrometer, it should be placed on half distance in the middle.
  With reference to accuracy of Hygrometers: It’s possible that deviating values are displayed by your gauge. Please read the paragraph dealing with analogue gauges on that topic. Affordable Digital and Analogue Hygrometers have an inaccuracy of at least 5%.

  Boveda

  Boveda is a humidification system. Anyone wishing to purchase Boveda is currently welcome to do so directly through Boveda inc. Due to the diverse demand, we therefore answer here: No, Boveda is currently only available through Boveda in direct purchase.
  GERMANUS no longer sells Boveda until further notice.

  GERMANUS only sells alternatives to Boveda. These preferably come from our own development and production.
  The production takes place in Germany. The raw materials for GERMANUS humidifiers also come almost exclusively from Germany.

  Integra Boost

  Thanks to Integra Boost, a two-way moisture control of your cigars is possible.
  In case of too much dryness, the Integra Boost Humipack releases moisture. If it is too humid, it absorbs excess moisture until it reaches the optimum level of 70%. The quality of the cigars is now maximized by ideal humidification. The flavors still have the ability to ripen through the ideal storage environment, even if they are handled perfectly after harvest.

  How does Integra Boost work?
  The 2-way humidifier bags work by the natural principle of osmosis. The Integra Boost Packs respond to the current temperature and humidity in the immediate area and automatically deliver in small quantities either moisture to the environment, or absorb them. An indicator card with a red dot is attached to each pack. If this point turns light blue, the Humipack must be replaced. Integra Boost Packs are safe to handle and completely non-toxic. They are dense, tear-resistant and biodegradable. In addition, they are 100% salt-free, so that the taste of your herbs is not affected.

  Please note:
  - Do not combine Integra Boost Humipacks of different moisture levels in one container
  - Do not use other moistening products with the Integra Boost Humipacks

Humidifying media are our core business. We specialize in innovative substances for the humidor humidification. Amongst others we offer GERMANUS Crystals in three granularities, GERMANUS Humidifier Crystal Pads, the impressive GERMANUS Humidor Wool (woven crystals) and the GERMANUS Bead System, which is our top range product. All products are sold thousands of times each year.

The GERMANUS crystals allow a regulated moisture release. The provoked achievable maximum is only ca. 80%. So, even if one doesn't pay any attention to the Humidor, it's hardly possible to get the cigars too wet and much easier to keep the cigars at a steady level of ca. 70% than possible with a simple sponge.

GERMANUS Humidor Cigar Pads
Very easy to handle, delivers stable values. The Acryl polymer Humidor Humidifier Pads are easier to dose than crystal granules. Pads are according to my knowledge an exclusive product of my shop: In addition to that they deliver humidity more controlled than crystals do. After all pads are the "better" crystals-system.

GERMANUS Humidor Cigar Wool
The GERMANUS Crystal Wool is a new innovative variant of the GERMANUS Pad System. Even easier to dose are these Wool Pads, which are to our knowledge an exclusive product. They deliver moisture more controlled than crystals do. After all pads and wool are the "better" crystals-system.

Appliance of the wool is similar to the pad system. Our GERMANUS Wool is more compact and sturdy than our best seller GERMANUS Pad, however. The video footage of spiked GERMANUS Humidor Wool is meant to underline its sturdiness. You could use the Wool in that way, basically, GERMANUS Humidor Cigar wool is meant to be used in humidifier boxes like crystals or pads or each other system.

Both systems, GERMANUS Cigar Humidor Pads and GERMANUS Cigar Humidor Wool are offered on an equal level.

Basically, crystals and all other systems can be used for many year, but you can replace those once a year.

GERMANUS Humidor Cigar Bead System
The top product on top of the scale is our GERMANUS Humidor Bead System. Beads are Pearls, which absorb and release moisture in both ways and regulate the humidity level in your humidor automatically. Conditioned to a certain level, they keep it precisely without the need to keep an eye on the system. Humidify it, insert it and feel good. No worries about the brown gold. The system is available in a 65% version for smokers, who prefer their cigars a tad lower or for long-time storage. The 70% system provides the popular standard storage level of 70% rel. humidity. The GERMANUS Bead system should be dimensioned according to a rough estimation fitting for your humidor. If you’re unsure about the recommend sized or quantities of a humidifier, we offer a calculator to you. The capacity output of the calculator corresponds to the Humidor Volumes. So, you can simply match the recommendations, which are provided for each item to find corresponding products.
